Our Commitment to Accessibility

Syntix Labs Ltd is committed to ensuring that our website and the digital products we build are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that inclusive design is not optional it is a core quality standard that should be applied to every interface we ship.

We are actively working to ensure that syntixlabs.net conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This standard defines how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Technical Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features have been implemented on this website:

Semantic HTML Structure: Our pages are built using semantic HTML5 elements (nav, main, section, article, footer, heading hierarchy) to ensure logical document structure and compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.

Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements on this site including navigation menus, buttons, forms, and links are fully operable using a keyboard alone. Focus states are visually distinct to support keyboard-only users.

Colour Contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, ensuring readability for users with low vision or colour vision deficiencies.

Alternative Text: All meaningful images are accompanied by descriptive alternative text attributes. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes so that screen readers correctly ignore them.

ARIA Attributes: Where standard HTML semantics are insufficient, we use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles and attributes to communicate interactive component states and relationships to assistive technologies.

Responsive & Zoom-Friendly: Our layout is fully responsive and supports browser text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, benefiting users with low vision who rely on zoom features.

Motion & Animation: Animated elements on this site respect the operating system's "prefers-reduced-motion" setting. Users who have indicated a preference for reduced motion will experience minimal or no motion effects.

Forms & Interactive Components

All forms on this website including our contact form and newsletter subscription are built to be accessible:

— Every input field is associated with a visible, descriptive label element. — Required fields are clearly identified both visually and programmatically. — Validation errors are communicated in text, not colour alone, and are associated with the relevant field using ARIA descriptions. — Submit buttons have clear, descriptive labels. — Focus management is handled correctly when modals or dynamic content is opened or closed.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website has been designed to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

— Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android. — Voice control software: Dragon NaturallySpeaking and browser-based voice control features. — Keyboard-only navigation without a mouse or pointing device. — Browser zoom tools and OS-level magnification features.

We test our website across modern browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge on both desktop and mobile platforms.

Known Limitations

While we are committed to achieving full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we acknowledge that some areas of this website may have limitations we are still working to address. These include:

— Certain animated data visualisations on case study pages, which are interactive but may have incomplete ARIA descriptions for complex chart elements. We are working to provide text-based equivalents for all such visualisations. — Third-party embedded content (such as external links to client platforms) may not conform to the same accessibility standards. We do not control the accessibility of third-party websites.

We prioritise accessibility improvements on an ongoing basis and address reported issues as quickly as practicable.

Accessibility in Our Client Projects

Accessibility is built into the software development standards we apply to every client project we deliver at Syntix Labs Ltd. When we build digital products, platforms, or interfaces for clients, our approach includes:

— Following semantic HTML and WCAG 2.1 AA as baseline engineering requirements on all frontend deliverables. — Reviewing colour contrast, keyboard operability, and screen reader compatibility as standard quality gates before delivery. — Advising clients on accessibility requirements under applicable Nigerian and international regulations. — Building accessible form components, navigation patterns, and interactive elements as standard, not as add-ons.

We believe that accessibility-first engineering produces better software for all users.

Regulatory Context

In Nigeria, the National Disability Act 2018 and guidelines issued by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) recognise the right of persons with disabilities to equal access to information and communication technologies. Syntix Labs Ltd supports these principles and works toward alignment with these standards in all digital products we produce.

Internationally, we reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA as our benchmark accessibility standard, consistent with requirements in many jurisdictions globally.
